A new ultraportable PC has surfaced from Australia: Press Digital C1 . They call it UMPC, JK calls it UMPC not Origami, but to me, it is not a UMPC because it has a little big screen (8.4″), but much more importantly, it comes with XP Pro instead of Tablet Edition.

It is expensive too, although Pioneer’s UM700 is 1499$, C1 costs 2595$, and they are both Australian.

OQO Model 01+ got 200$ cheaper - just for 1699$ now. Yes, as every other editor/blogger say, it is still expensive. But with this price drop, i noticed that editors didn’t criticize UX for it’s price tag as much as OQO although they were at the same price. (Now OQO is cheaper!) I guess editors either got used to this price level for ultraportables or they think “It is Sony, it must be pricey.” (Yes, i just made this up)
