Samsung shows 32 GB Flash based 1.8″ Drives especially for rugged notebooks. They are fast (due to lower response time), much more durable (no moving parts) and they need much less power than hard drives. (about only 5 percent of they consume). They are “just the right thing” for UMPCs for these reasons, but they cost about 900$ now.
