At Guardian, a new article popped out about UMPCs and more especially about pen computing. Jack Schofield asks pen computing will be “popular” with UMPCs. It is clear that most consumers are happier with keyboards other than digitizers, but this should change one way or other. We used buttons because we didn’t have better communicators but we have now. If you put buttons, you remove place for bigger screens and no one is happy with small screens. Now we have better handwriting recognitions and on screen keyboards, why would you be stuck with buttons? And more importantly, UMPC is future’s computing, that’s for sure. And i don’t see buttons in the future, do you?
